    Lab Technician About the Role

     

    Join a dynamic Quality Control Seed Health Testing team where your work ensures the integrity and safety of agricultural products. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment, supporting critical testing processes that impact global food security.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform routine laboratory assays including Bacteriology, PCR, ELISA, Mycology, and greenhouse-based tests following established SOPs.

    + Prepare samples for testing and maintain accurate records in Word, Excel, and LIMS databases.

    + Manage lab inventory, prepare buffers and media, and maintain equipment.

    + Support general lab operations including dishwashing and housekeeping.

    + Complete independent projects alongside routine work as assigned.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.

    What You Bring

    + Education: BS in a scientific discipline (Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field) with at least 1 year of relevant lab experience.

    + Technical Skills:

    + Demonstrated sterile techniques.

    + Hands-on experience with molecular methods such as PCR and ELISA.

    + Familiarity with bacteriology and mycology assays.

    + Soft Skills:

    + Strong verbal and written communication.

    + Effective time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends to meet business needs.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodland, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
