    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse provides care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and Psych Hold areas. Medical/clinical knowledge, technical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum:

    + Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in the Emergency Department.

    + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    + RN = Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board.

    + CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA

    + CT CPRACLS - Advanced Life Support – AHA

    + CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support CPR (Required within 6 months of hire).

    + TNCC = Trauma Nurse Core Course (Required within 6 months of hire).

    + NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l-Training upon hire/transfer.

    + Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

    Preferred:

    + Float Pool experience.

    + Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

    + Certification in Specialty Area.

    Pay Range

    $52.96 - $72.30 /hour
