    Wholesale Insurance Sales Producer Job Responsibilities:

    As a Wholesale Insurance Broker you will solicit, develop and maintain relationships with retail brokers/agencies to generate new revenue streams focused on Property and Casualty products and services. This role is vital to the success of the P&C division of SPG. As a Wholesale Insurance Producer you will be supported by leadership and service teams to achieve a high level of growth, and you will be the cornerstone of our superior customer service and will be charged with ensuring client satisfaction.

    Responsibilities of the Producer role include, but are not limited to:

    + Prospect consult & negotiate on accounts and lead/manage their team.

    + Cold calls frequently and follows up always

    + Strives to create long term and loyal agency partnerships as well as long term and loyal underwriter partnerships.

    + Establishes and maintains agency relationships

    + Travels to see agents frequently and maintains good sensible expense reports

    + Attends carrier, agency and industry networking events and maintains the upmost professional behavior always to set our brokerage firm apart from others.

    + Attends and sets up underwriter lunches, breakfasts and dinners and makes sure to invite other office team brokers and inside brokers

    + Brands our brokerage firm as the best of the best in the industry.

    + Establishes and maintains underwriter relationships

    + Keeps current with new markets and programs and new coverage products and current rates on different classes of business

    + Studies and improves coverage knowledge always

    + Maintains excellent organization, expertise and detailed notes on underwriting guidelines, appetites, and critical changes in the marketplace

    + Advises and consults agents on any critical change or new market and/or program in the marketplace

    + Looks for new opportunities wherever possible to help grow the company revenue. Team player mentality.

    + Strives to grow revenue production by 25% or more year over year.

    + Creates a fun, rewarding and hardworking culture on their team where each person is held accountable and rewarded on their work performance.

    + Evaluates and bonuses team members based on individual merits each year.

    + Keeps all Team members informed on any corporate changes and/or Team changes.

    + Makes sure all team members keep their licenses and CE credit current

    + Does Team lunches at least once a month to keep a good working team camaraderie.

    + Makes sure all team members get the individual support they need and are taken care as relates to questions from their team members.

    + Cultivates an exciting team structure where everyone feels important and happy to work at our brokerage firm.

    + Reports to office Director any major issues or problems and keeps corporate management in the loop on all important team issues.

    + Answers any request by Senior Management.

    Job Requirements:

    In the Wholesale Insurance Sales Producer role, you must be an independent self-starter who is able to solicit and develop strong relationships with retail agencies. We are seeking confident professionals who are not afraid of cold-calling and developing new business. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and novice professionals alike, with a range of 3-15 years of experience in insurance sales and/or underwriting.

    Other requirements of the Producer role include, but are not limited to:

    + 3+ years of previous experience in sales and/or underwriting.

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    + Property and casualty experience highly preferred.

    + Must be sales driven and enjoy business development with the ability to develop, foster and maintain excellent working relationships.

    + Ability to understand client’s needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated.

    + Required to obtain the appropriate state licensing within 90 days of hire.

    + Preference given to those with existing insurance licensure and/or industry designations.

    + Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.

    + Detail-oriented

    + Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required

    + The preferred candidate is a team player with a great attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Salary Transparency:

    The compensation for this position is a variable comp structure. As such, the total salary paid will vary directly depending on the successful candidate’s book of business at any particular time. The range for this position is $200,000-$225,000 and could be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and/or commissions for some positions.
