    Job Title: Aircraft Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician to perform line maintenance at ORD for major carriers, with a focus on Airbuses for Frontier. The role involves both scheduled and on-call maintenance, ensuring aircrafts are safe and airworthy, and returning them to service in compliance with regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform line maintenance on various customers' aircraft, both on-call and scheduled.

    + Conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases within the scope of approval.

    + Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and components, meeting deadlines and performance goals.

    + Troubleshoot systems and repair, disassemble, and reassemble sections and components.

    + Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and manufacturer manuals.

    + Document all work performed accurately.

    + Communicate and collaborate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center.

    + Lead a team of 3-5 A&Ps, balancing hands-on work with administrative tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + A&P License

    + Driver's License

    + Customer service skills

    + Ownership of tools (tool list provided)

    + 2-3 years of experience as an A&P

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Line maintenance experience

    + Experience with Airbus aircraft

    + A320 training

    + Previous lead experience

    Work Environment

    Work mainly outside, with a vehicle provided for travel between aircraft. Office facilities are located just outside the airport for training purposes. Initial training will be team-based, leading to independent work. Night shifts are available, Sunday-Wednesday from 11:00pm to 9:30am CST or Thursday-Saturday from 8:00pm to 9:30am.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rosemont, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
