    Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    Efficiently and effectively provide maintenance support to meet the needs of both internal and external customers while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role involves providing technical expertise to support daily operations and achieve significant improvements in production-related objectives.

    Responsibilities

    + Actively engage with departmental projects, tasks, and objectives.

    + Demonstrate experience with automation equipment, managing configuration and versions of programmable devices, hardware, and systems such as PLCs, vision camera systems, barcode scanners, intelligent sensors, PC-based machine control systems, and SCADA level systems.

    + Perform corrective and preventative maintenance repairs on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical production equipment and building systems.

    + Assist with setup and operator activities, installation, and setup of new equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, and high-voltage electrical systems without assistance.

    + Work from layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions.

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose CNC equipment, performing maintenance, repair, and calibration on equipment such as control systems of numerically controlled machines.

    + Conduct operational tests and repair equipment by disassembling required components, repairing or replacing faulty parts, reassembling, and adjusting equipment.

    + Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and critical facility work rules, including proper chemical handling procedures, local codes, cooling systems, and chillers.

    + Assure work environment is clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards.

    + Complete all required safety program objectives and training.

    + Actively participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.

    + Maintain the highest ethical standards, personal and intellectual integrity, mature judgment, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Twenty-four to thirty-six months of trade school or equivalent experience is preferred.

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with operators, team leads, and engineers.

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to use a PC and email.

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

    + Must be able to lift 50 pounds manually and repetitively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CNC equipment and repair is a plus.

    + Knowledge of safe work practices and LOTO procedures.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a manufacturing environment that is very clean but not temperature controlled. Work shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with current Saturday work until further notice.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SMITHFIELD, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
