    Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description

     

    As a manual machinist, you will perform machining operations using your technical knowledge and manual dexterity. You must have previous experience with lathes, manual vertical mills, and proficiency in reading micrometers and calipers. The ability to read prints and drawings to produce high-quality work efficiently is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform machining operations using manual lathes and mills.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

    + Utilize micrometers and calipers accurately.

    + Produce high-quality parts efficiently.

    + Select appropriate tools and determine cutting speeds.

    + Ensure precision and accuracy in all machining tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience with manual lathes and mills.

    + Ability to read micrometers and calipers.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Solid knowledge of manual machining, cutting speeds, tool selection, and materials.

    + 2+ years of CNC setup/programming experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years of recent machining experience.

    + Good hand-eye coordination.

    Work Environment

    You will work in a full fabrication shop with welding, assembly, press brake, paint, CNC/manual machines, and a warehouse. The shop is clean, well-lit, spacious, and may have metal shrapnel on the floor. It consists of two buildings, with paint operations in a separate one.

    This is a Contract position based out of Saint Michael, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
