    Material Handler | Stand Up Forklift

     

    2nd Shift | 4 Day Work Week

     

    Overview

     

    As a Material Handler, you’ll play a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly. You’ll operate stand-up forklifts and reach trucks to move and organize materials, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure timely order fulfillment. This role requires maintaining stock rotation to ensure first-in, first-out material movement and usage. You will also utilize computers and tablets to print shipments and orders using the Mapics/SAP system and creating shipment/order placards using Excel.

    Responsibilities

    + Safely operate stand-up forklifts and reach trucks to move materials.

    + Maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation for accuracy and freshness.

    + Use RF scanners, computers, and tablets to process orders and shipments.

    + Build and wrap pallets to industry standards for damage-free delivery.

    + Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.

    + Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures.

    + Report inventory discrepancies and support cycle counts.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Experience operating stand-up forklifts and reach trucks.

    + 1-2 years of warehouse experience (or equivalent).

    + Ability to lift up to 100lbs regularly and 50lbs frequently.

    + Basic computer skills and familiarity with systems like SAP/Mapics.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This is a food manufacturing facility that follows strict GMP standards. You’ll wear a uniform, hair/beard net, and safety shoes, and follow sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe workspace. ****

    This is a Contract position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
