Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description

We are seeking an experienced forklift operator with 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment. The role involves operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, scanning inventory using a scanner and computer system, and handling pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.

Responsibilities

+ Operate sit-down and traditional stand-up forklifts efficiently.

+ Scan inventory in and out using a scanner and computer system.

+ Handle pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.

+ Utilize an electric pallet jack for material handling.

+ Participate in inventory management and shipping/receiving tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of experience operating sit-down or traditional stand-up forklifts.

+ Proficiency in using scanners and computer systems for inventory management.

+ Experience in handling pallets and staging orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift certification is preferred.

+ Experience with inventory management is a plus.

+ Skills in shipping and receiving are advantageous.

Work Environment

Positions are available at two locations. At 48 Hook Rd, first shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm, and second shift from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. At 1 Commerce St, the second shift is from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. Operators will spend 75% of their day on the forklift, moving pallets and staging orders in a production-supportive environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
