Hiring Salary/Recruiting Range:

General Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position will begin Fall 2026.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Responsibilities include establishing a vigorous, externally funded biochemistry or chemical biology-focused research program; mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate research students; and teaching biochemistry courses and additional courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise, which may include areas relevant to toxicological, forensic, or physical biochemistry. The successful candidate will support the department’s ACS -certified B.S. in Chemistry, B.S. in Forensic Chemistry, and M.S. in Chemistry programs through teaching, research, and service.

Educational Requirements for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or Chemistry.
Experience Required for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
Biochemist or chemical biologist with a record of or potential for scholarly publication and demonstrated potential for establishing an independent research program. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
