Overview
Kemin Animal Nutrition & Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Intelligence and Data Manager. The Market Intelligence and Data Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting market data, competitor and customer analysis, and market research to identify trends and insights. They will develop and implement market intelligence strategies to capitalize on opportunities and maximize customer value, and communicate findings and insights effectively across the organization. This role works cross-functionally throughout the business unit to achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
+ Perform benchmarking and business, market, and economic analysis that will enhance strategic marketing efforts within the organization.
+ Develop valuable, quality, and impactful quantitative and qualitative competitive analysis (evaluating competitive information, strategies, product offerings, pricing patterns, etc.) that leads to providing recommendations to support business needs
+ Present findings in an appropriate and timely manner to allow management team to make strategic decisions based on key research data.
+ Interpret industry and customer data trends to provide insights for strategic opportunities.
+ Develop tools and methodologies, conduct extensive market research/analysis, interpret/evaluate data for new products or markets, and makes internal and external presentations on their findings.
+ Design and implement data collection and quality standards across appropriate internal systems/ platforms; communicate performance and insights to drive data-based decision making.
+ Organizes and maintains key information in company’s market intelligence system.
+ Collaborate across business unit to clearly understand key business questions; formulating plans to utilize market research and secondary data sources to address key questions with actionable insights.
+ Provide expertise to company in the area of competitive market research/analysis and provides support for efforts to help business unit expand its commercial sales efforts.
+ Provide actionable fact-based intelligence and insights on market trends, customer insights and competitive positioning that influence business and product strategies and decisions.
+ Provides timely, accurate, and relevant information to management/executive team; to allow for critical business decisions based on key research data.
+ Conduct basic market research to determine market share and other relevant business environment indicators, monitor competitive environment including competitor products and product reviews.
+ Monitors and maintains competitive data including competitor products and product reviews.
+ Provides insights on internal customer data.
+ Other job-related duties as needed to support business efforts and to fulfill positive and proactive Marketing, Sales, and Finance efforts.
Qualifications
+ Education and Experience:
+ Masters degree with up to 4 years of related experience OR
+ Bachelors degree with 6+ year of related experience preferably in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a Business related field OR
+ Associates degree with 7-10 years of related experience
+ High potential candidates with less experience may be considered for a role commensurate with their skills and work history
+ Atleast 4 years of experience in a corporate market research, new product research, market research capacility, or marketing agency.
+ Experience in market research and/or decision science, with specific experience researching and analyzing business intelligence data.
+ Additional related experience may substitute.
+ Background in planning, designing, managing, analyzing, reporting of qualitative research studies and quantitative data.
+ Experience in designing research screeners/questionnaires.
+ Knowledge of product development innovation process.
+ Ability to present complex information internally and externally.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and critical-thinking skills. Bilingual skills highly desired.
+ A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and possession of a distinct sense of urgency.
+ Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment or independently with limited supervision.
