THE POSITION
Are you a sharp analytical thinker with a passion for data analysis and process improvement? If so, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is excited to welcome a skilled Management Analyst 1 to be the driving force behind the integrity and efficiency of driver and vehicle service programs throughout the state. This pivotal role focuses on production IT systems for driver license and motor vehicle information, ensuring operations are data-driven, productive, and reliable. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Management Analyst 1, you will be responsible for analyzing business needs, developing the proper reporting tools for the impacted business area, and providing expert guidance and direction surrounding business areas process improvements. You will gather relevant background data necessary to develop effective reports, inclusive of interviewing employees, supervisors, and managers of various operational areas. Strategic problem solving skills will be employed while working with business areas to suggest improvements that may prompt more efficient operations. In addition, you will conduct complex scheduled reports tasks as well as serve in project lead functions regarding the development and use of reports associated with production driver license and motor vehicle technology systems. Excellent organizational skills are vital, as you will be responsible for c reating and maintaining a desk manual outlining all completed reports, frequency and schedules, descriptions, distribution recipients, format instructions, and the process to create and run each report.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after 30 days of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview .

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of experience as an Administration and Management Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) performing technical management analysis work;or
+ One year of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree ;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
