About the Role:
The Director of Infrastructure Operations leads the strategy, performance, and evolution of Callen-Lorde’s technology infrastructure and cybersecurity program. This role oversees infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity governance, vendor strategy, budgeting, and long-term modernization planning to ensure systems are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs. The Director provides leadership to internal staff, managed service providers (MSPs), and infrastructure partners while partnering closely with senior leadership to reduce risk and enable operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Director of Infrastructure Operations, your responsibilities will include:
+ Lead the design, planning, and oversight of infrastructure across servers, networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, and endpoints, including multi-year modernization roadmaps.
+ Own and continuously improve the organization’s cybersecurity program, including policies, controls, incident response, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH, OMNIBUS).
+ Assess cybersecurity and infrastructure risks and present readiness, mitigation strategies, and remediation plans to senior leadership.
+ Evaluate vendor performance, contracts, SLAs, and cost effectiveness; develop strategies to reduce vendor dependency and transition appropriate services to internal teams.
+ Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, capital and operating expenses, and multi-year financial forecasts to support strategic investments.
+ Establish and maintain infrastructure and cybersecurity policies, technical standards, and operating procedures; represent Technology in cross-functional governance forums.
+ Lead complex initiatives such as network modernization, cloud migrations, platform upgrades, and enterprise resilience programs, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.
+ Supervise and mentor the Supervisor of Infrastructure Operations and team members; oversee performance management, professional development, and collaboration with MSP partners.
Work Schedule: This full-time and hybrid position.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
+ 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
+ 5+ years' experience in leadership or management roles.
+ Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure roadmaps and leading complex projects.
+ Proven experience developing cybersecurity programs and risk management processes.
+ Strong vendor management and contract evaluation skills.
+ Healthcare or FQHC experience preferred.
+ Deep knowledge of infrastructure architecture including networking, cloud platforms, servers, and security technologies.
+ Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and cost evaluation skills.
+ Ability to communicate clearly with executives, teams, and technical stakeholders.
+ Strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills.
+ High degree of reliability, sound judgment, and professional maturity.
