Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for our patients and staff. Your daily responsibilities will include:

+ Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting patient care areas (occupied, discharge, and transfer), equipment, and common spaces.

+ Applying healthcare cleaning and disinfection best practices while safely handling chemicals and equipment.

+ Adhering strictly to all safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines, actively contributing to a culture of safety.

+ Participating in performance improvement initiatives focused on patient experience and cleanliness.

+ Meticulously managing supplies, equipment, and waste disposal in line with infection prevention and safety protocols.

+ Utilizing critical thinking and personal accountability to collaborate with the team on various facility tasks and issue resolution.

Job Requirements

+ Education/Work Experience Requirements

+ High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous healthcare experience preferred

+ Job Knowledge/Abilities

Can distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection.

• Ability to explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required.

• Ability to operate necessary equipment/machines.

• Effectively uses computers and mobile devices. Respectfully listens to viewpoints and ideas of others. Communicates orally or in writing openly and candidly, creates an environment where co-workers and team members reciprocate in kind. Respectfully listens to viewpoints and ideas of others. Ability to work without close supervision

Pay Range

$21.66 - $30.99 /hour
