JOB SUMMARY
Proctors Collaborative is the Capital District’s leading regional arts organization with performing arts venues in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga, and additional education, civic engagement and economic development initiatives throughout the region. Proctors Collaborative seeks an Annual Funds Manager to join its Relationships team in a full-time capacity. The Annual Funds Manager position is primarily focused on the execution of annual individual fundraising efforts for our four regional arts organizations: Proctors, theREP, UPH and SSSO to achieve increased operating revenue.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Work with the Relationships Director and Major Gifts Director to develop comprehensive strategic Annual Fund plans.
+ In coordination with Relationships Director and Major Gifts Director, lead the execution of four annual fund plans with emphasis on operational details, segmentation, planning and writing of direct mail and electronic communications; and tracking annual gift progress to analyze and interpret data to recommend strategic adjustments to overall plans when necessary.
+ Determine appropriate solicitation platforms and messaging choices in consultation with the marketing and relationships teams to visualize and create the best mix of communication tools to reach current and prospective donors.
+ Manage a portfolio of lower to mid-level donors to cultivate, solicit and steward.
+ Plan, execute and attend donor cultivation and stewardship events for the organizations.
+ Attend external networking events in the community representing Proctors Collaborative.
+ Collaborate with other members of the fundraising staff to maintain and enhance relations with donors, board members, volunteers, and the community-at-large to engage them in supporting our fundraising efforts, including a focused effort to cultivate and build relationships with donors that prioritize Equity and Diversity to reinforce the Collaborative’s EDIA commitment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or University
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising management experience, arts organization or other complex not-for-profit institution preferred
+ Documented success managing fundraising campaigns and achieving growth-based goals through various communication platforms
+ Working knowledge of the principles of fundraising, best practices, and moves management strategiesand ability to participate in all aspects of the donor and gift cycle
+ Record of success as a fundraising appeal writer who has engaged and motivated donors
+ Self-motivated and goal-oriented
+ Demonstrated ability to work with and cultivate a diverse population in meeting annual fund goals.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
+ Database and file management proficiency
+ Experience involving volunteers in the fundraising process
+ Strong written and verbal presentation skills
+ Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers within the organization as well as with external partners (volunteers) at the individual and organizational level
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
