Manage resource planning for your team—including technician/engineer allocation, equipment needs, and scheduling aligned with Cx project milestones.
Lead project budgeting, resourcing, scopes, and cost/savings strategies to maximize client impact while reducing delivery risk.
Ensure the successful execution of commissioning deliverables, including mechanical system functional testing, issue tracking, O&M integration, and turnover documentation.
Support and enhance delivery of related services, such as Active Energy Management, MBCx, performance audits, and efficiency analysis.
Mentor a team of engineers/commissioning specialists to develop deep expertise in HVAC systems, mechanical design intent, building automation optimization, and commissioning protocol.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

Prior people management experience is required; ability to coach technical staff in mechanical/HVAC systems and commissioning processes.
Ability to analyze project financials and align delivery strategies accordingly.
Strong client interaction skills; able to lead commissioning meetings, present findings, and manage project expectations.
Experience reviewing and improving processes, workflows, and commissioning documentation.
Understanding of building efficiency principles, mechanical system design intent, and building operations.
Familiarity with commissioning standards (ASHRAE, BCxA, ACG) and functional performance testing protocols.
Understanding of analytics in the built environment, including BAS data, trend reviews, and utility data interpretation.
