The Cerner MDI (Millennium Device Integration) Lab Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, support, and optimization of laboratory device integrations within the Cerner Millennium environment. This role works closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data flow between lab instruments and the electronic health record (EHR).
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, build, configure, and maintain Cerner MDI interfaces for laboratory instruments and middleware
+ Support end-to-end device integration workflows, including analyzer-to-middleware-to-Cerner connections
+ Troubleshoot interface issues, including data mapping, result transmission, and device connectivity
+ Collaborate with laboratory leadership and vendors to validate test codes, result formats, reference ranges, and units
+ Perform system testing, validation, and go-live support for new or upgraded lab devices
+ Monitor interface performance and proactively resolve errors or downtime
+ Ensure integrations meet regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA)
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, build guides, and support procedures
+ Participate in change management, upgrades, and system optimization initiatives
+ Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed
