    Compensation: $52000 annually

     

    Contractor Work Model: Onsite

     

    Hours: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shifts

    Machinist

    We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

    Responsibilities:

    + Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses

    + Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences

    + Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining methods for each job

    + Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments

    + Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances

    + Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling

    + Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications

    + Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment

    + Document production activities and maintain accurate records

    + Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and efficiency

    Requirements:

    + Minimum 1 year of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings

    + Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, etc.)

    + Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments

    + Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    + Good mathematical and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with CNC programming and operation

    + Vocational or technical training in machining

    + Experience in custom or job shop manufacturing

    + Familiarity with CAD/CAM software

    + Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
