    The **Project Engineer I** ensures projects are delivered in alignment with established site methodologies, policies, industry best practices, and current GMP standards. The role requires leveraging expertise in GMP and manufacturing processes to minimize disruptions to operational schedules. Additionally, the position provides construction management oversight to guarantee projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

    The Role

    + Lead the planning and execution of all technical and engineering aspects of minor capital projects supporting production and facility needs

    + Own full accountability for delivering capital projects on scope, within budget, and on schedule

    + Ensure each project has a well-defined scope and is planned, executed, and documented to deliver best-in-class service results, aligning all internal and external stakeholders on details and objectives

    + Manage and oversee capital projects from concept and design through implementation, commissioning, and qualification

    + Establish project teams, develop project strategies, create master schedules, and manage financial resources effectively

    + Identify potential risks to scope, budget, and schedule, and implement mitigation strategies, as needed

    + Verify accuracy of design documentation and as act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for continuous improvement in accuracy and organization of plant record drawings

    + Prepare key project documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Risk Assessments, and Safety Assessments

    + Develop and foster strong relationships with design, construction, construction management, and qualification service providers

    The Candidate

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering

    + Associate degree in Engineering with at least 1 year of related experience

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Professional Engineer license or Six Sigma Black-Belt training preferred

    + Experience in Capital Project Management, Facilities/Maintenance and/or Automation within the manufacturing or process-driven industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, food) preferred

    + Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project), design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred

    + ·Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required

    + Understanding safety and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, FDA, and EU regulations) and handling hazardous materials is beneficial

    + Demonstrated ability in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost estimation preferred

    + Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients
