As a Superintendent Warehouse you will supervise the warehouse and staff for the requisition, and maintenance of those materials and supplies critical to the most efficient operation of the refinery. Receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for inventory items necessary to operate and maintain the refinery.

* Executes and implements systems and processes for the requisition of materials inventory and its security.
* Completes Warehouse Inventory SOX control testing using GRC per corporate schedule.
* Provides staff with leadership and also receives, issues, stores, inspects and documents those materials as required to satisfy the needs of the refinery.
* Maintains a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse and related work areas.
* Prepares department annual budget and responsible for favorable or unfavorable variances.
* Supervises by promoting appropriate and professional relationships to interface and provides documentation with internal customers and external vendors or suppliers.
* Requisitions those items necessary to meet minimum and maximum material requirements.
* Works with customers and business partners to determine adjustments in inventory to insure adequate materials and supplies are on hand to fulfill their needs for a turnaround, new equipment or unit expansion projects.
* Ensures all materials can be obtained in a timely manner and ensures adequate space is made available in the warehouse for storage.
* Maintains employee performance evaluations, monitoring attendance, and disciplinary actions.
* Updates and maintains all SAP Inventory Master and Data files.
* Generates daily SAP MRP reports, purchase replacement stock, monitor inventory levels and adjusts inventory min/max accordingly.
* Supports, as required, Purchasing, Accounting, Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering with SAP issues affecting equipment bills of materials requisition processes, purchase orders, and vendor invoices.
* Supervises and/or conducts warehouse cycle counts.
* Provides delivery service of incoming/outgoing freight when other delivery service is not feasible, timing is critical, or after hours.
* Assists with the procurement and expediting items for the refinery including warehouse inventory.
* Provides turnaround support and vacation relief as needed.
* Follows all safety rules and procedures as established by the Company and ensures direct reports, also, comply.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications:
*Minimum Requirements:*
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Bill Greehey Refinery, required.
* High School diploma or GED required.
* 10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas required: warehouse, inventory control, accounting, procurement, maintenance and/or refinery operations.
* Experience in computer based purchasing and inventory required.
*Preferred Requirements: *
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Experience working in a warehouse with material handling and inventory control highly preferred.
* Experience working in a refinery environment preferred.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* SAP experience preferred.
