The Division of University Advancement is responsible for the fundraising efforts of the State University of New York at Oswego. It is comprised on the Oswego University Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation), The Oswego Alumni Association, Inc. and the SUNY Oswego Career Services division.
The Foundation has nearly $95 million of assets, the most significant of which is the Foundation's endowment, which now stands at approximately $85 million.
The Office of University Advancement at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill the full-time position of Assistant Director of Finance.

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 (https://www.suny.edu/hr/compensation/salary/) commensurate with experience plus full New York State benefits package.

Date of Appointment: As soon as possible
Description of Responsibilities:
+ Management of the General Ledger and financial reporting
+ Assist with the preparation for the annual audits of the Oswego University Foundation, Oswego Alumni Association and WRVO FM Radio
+ Assistance with the various annual reporting requirements
+ Assist the Director of Finance with preparation for materials for all committee meetings
+ Supervise the Accounting Associate position

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
+ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, but other degree field and similar experience allowed
+ Minimum of 4-5 years' experience working in an accounting field
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Strong communication skills
+ Strong skills using Microsoft suite of products
+ Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-3 years of audit work with a public accounting firm or
+ Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT
+ Understanding of internal controls
+ Familiarity with PCI standards
+ Familiarity with fundraising
