    Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Intake Specialist for one of our large engineering clients.

    Overview

    As an integral part of the clients Power Delivery Team, the Engineering Intake Specialist serves as the gateway for incoming project requests, powering efficiency and alignment with technical and organizational standards. This role ensures all new initiatives are correctly scoped, documented, and routed to the appropriate engineering teams, enabling seamless progression from concept to execution.

    • Key Responsibilities

    • Project Intake & Requirement Gathering

     

    Receive and assess new power delivery project requests—both distribution and substation—collecting technical specifications, scope details, and stakeholder objectives to define project feasibility and alignment with deliverables.

     

    • Documentation & Data Verification

     

    Prepare and maintain accurate intake documentation (forms, requirement sheets, intake logs) and verify completeness of engineering data, ensuring compliance with Leidos’ internal standards and utility regulations

     

    • Cross-Functional Coordination

     

    Liaise with internal stakeholders—including engineers, project managers, and utility clients—to clarify requirements, schedule technical Q&A sessions, and resolve gaps before project assignment.

     

    • Workflow Management & Routing

     

    Classify and prioritize intake requests based on project type, loading profiles, and complexity; assign to the appropriate power delivery sub-teams (e.g., distribution design, substation, system planning), ensuring optimal resource alignment
