    Job Description

    The National Space Strategic Business Unit works with members of the intelligence and defense communities to deliver space systems that drive mission success and provide resilient mission-level solutions to meet the customer s greatest challenges.

     

    This job will be for a lead position over a large, complex portfolio of programs with this Strategic Business Unit.

    What You ll Do:

    + Serve as a Program Contracts Lead and manage a variety of FFP, CP, OTA, T&M, CRADA, IDIQ contracts.

    + Work collaboratively with all levels of program and functional personnel and executive leadership to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and become a trusted business advisor to the Program during contract execution.

    + Assume a contributing role in proposal development of new and follow-on business and contract change order proposals. Evaluate, identify risks, negotiate terms and conditions to mitigate business risk.

    + Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with program team and customer personnel for the advancement of long-term business opportunities.

    + Maintain auditable Contract files. Support audits with Internal / External and Government Audit Agencies.

    + Negotiate favorable business terms that positively impact shareholder value.

    + Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

    + Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

    + Perform other duties as necessary.

    **On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

    Working Conditions:

    + Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years of related experience.

    + Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

    + A demonstrated background of legal, business, regulatory, and programmatic aspects of federal government prime and subcontract management.

    + Broad experience in working with customer RFPs to include: terms/conditions, Reps & Certs, negotiation strategies, Price Negotiation Memorandums, and negotiations, including the Truth In Negotiation Act (TINA).

    + A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Experience with major aerospace primes/subs as well as USG direct.

    + Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR with advanced knowledge.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
