    As a senior member of the Platform Engineering Team, the Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of production support activities, as well as projects within the assigned concentration of expertise. Technology concentrations include Virtualization, Kubernetes, Active Directory and Storage. The Senior Platform Engineer designs and manages robust, secure, and scalable systems and enables continuous delivery practices by maintaining IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration frameworks. The Senior Platform Engineer will provide technical leadership and operational support to your peers within the Platform Engineering team, as well as Technology Services as a whole. Work will entail product evaluation, version and upgrade implementations, ongoing enhancements, and handling project tasks for system and network expansion, support, and monitoring. The Senior Platform Engineer will lead system design and performance evaluation efforts and will lead and direct projects within our team.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent education experience can be substituted.

    • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft-based infrastructure systems in an enterprise setting.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and platform automation tools.

    • Must have experience with: Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools

    • Experience VMware, Nutanix, Public Cloud Providers

     

    Experience with enterprise networking concepts including firewall rules, VLANs, routing, and DNS. As well as Enterprise Storage Systems and backup solutions • Relevant certifications are highly desirable, e.g., Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, Microsoft Certified, AWS/Azure/GCP Certifications.
