    **The Role:** The Senior Program Manager will oversee strategic growth of select program clients by ensuring successful delivery of program scope, maximizing value and benefits for both Xylem and clients. This position will utilize a diverse skill set to plan and achieve program goals, combining client service management, asset management, and project management functions as required by the unique demands of their programmatic clients. With a fixed goal of extending the life of linear assets through coordination of condition assessment and data analytic efforts, the Senior Program Manager will apply their experience to develop multi-year roadmaps tailored to specific business and client goals. This position will require exceptional organizational, leadership, communication and collaboration skills to build and maintain deep and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to define success and meet the dynamic requirements and goals of each program.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    _Program Management_

    + Develop and execute pipeline asset management plans for strategic accounts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

    + Lead selection of strategic accounts in collaboration with sales and operations

    + Develop a process/methodology to standardize program management across North America in a scalable fashion

    + Define client program operations, goals, and workflows in accordance with contracts, bid documents, and Xylem standard procedures and practices.

    + Develop and execute strategic program roadmaps over multi-year horizons to unlock benefits, metabolize opportunities, and protect from risks within the unique context of the program.

    + Monitor and control budgets and forecasts at program-level, working with Project Delivery resources to ensure alignment at project-level and task-level.

    + Schedule and attend progress meetings and prepare progress updates for both client and Xylem leadership.

    _Linear Asset Management_

    + Develop a deep understanding of their clients’ strategic and asset resiliency goals and position Xylem to contribute positively to those goals.

    + Understand the intricacies of a client’s linear asset network – how it’s operated, how it’s maintained, how it fails, how level of service performance is measured.

    + Synthesize results from condition assessments and engineering analyses across the pipeline network to ensure recommendations are consistent with client and program linear asset management goals.

    + Ensure client deliverables complete appropriate technical reviews and quality control prior to delivery to client.

    _Communication & Leadership_

    + Industry leadership at conferences, committees, and workshops

    + Leverage technical pipeline management expertise to navigate various discussions with clients, building trust and credibility.

    + Support Project Delivery staff conducting assessment work within the program team, providing voice of client feedback and ensuring quality as well as adherence to unique program processes.

    + Develop internal relationships to support the overall growth and success of Assessment Services, mentor peer and mid-level staff.

    + Keep informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications.

    + Available to support clients during non-routine business hours.

    + Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Professional Engineer designation and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

    + Program Management Professional (PgMP) designation preferred.

    + Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, including at least 5 years of experience managing clients/programs with large ongoing contracts.

    + Engineering consulting, construction, and/or water/wastewater experience.

    + Excellent team leadership skills and experiences including the proven ability to mentor and informally lead others, conflict and issue resolution, and ability to motivate and inspire others; prior indirect/direct supervisory experience preferred

    + Is highly influential and persuasive, develops trusted relationships internally and externally

    + Exhibits sound judgement, has the willingness to make decisions

    + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

    + Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to manage key stakeholder interests, while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests

    + The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management

    + Proven ability to make decisions that are based on analytics/facts/observations and adhere to standard operating procedures/policies

    + Able to ensure project deliverables are compliant with all applicable codes and standards, both internally and externally.

    + Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Environment, and Quality.

    + Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally while offering creative solutions

    + IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data

    + Flexibility and the ability to manage change

    + Proactive with a high level of attention to detail

     

    The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 USD plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
