Now Hiring: Field Service Engineer III – Northeast Region (Albany/Latham, NY)

If you’re a hands-on technical professional who excels in dynamic field environments, this role puts you at the center of advancing water treatment solutions across the Northeast. As a Field Service Engineer III, you’ll work with sophisticated control systems, tackle complex electrical and instrumentation challenges, and support critical water technologies that make a real difference.

• What You’ll Do

+ Lead programming, optimization, and support for PLC, VFD, and MCP systems

+ Maintain and troubleshoot Reverse Osmosis and Water Filtration equipment

+ Diagnose and resolve Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) issues

+ Recommend and implement improvements to controls narratives

+ Install, configure, and verify electrical components

+ Address production-related challenges to ensure smooth operations

+ Uphold safety and environmental compliance standards

+ Provide high-level technical support to internal teams and customers

+ Document work thoroughly and prepare performance and service reports

• What You Bring

+ 3+ years of experience in controls programming and E&I systems

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical background

+ Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

+ Proficiency with data analysis and simulation tools

+ Knowledge of physical‑chemical water treatment processes

+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The estimated salary range is **$90,000–$110,000** , with starting pay based on experience, skills, and location. Xylem offers a competitive total rewards package, including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, a 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
