Position Title: Research Assistant (Part-Time)
Schedule: In-Person and Virtual (Hybrid)
Timeline: January 20-December 31, 2026
The RA will support the research of Dr. Michelle Munson in a number of areas: mental health services research, health and coping, positive youth development.
+ Execute focused literature reviews
+ Write sections of grants and manuscripts under the supervision of the team
+ Obtain journal articles from the NYU library
+ Manage references in Endnote
+ Perform additional related duties as needed
This position is classified under the professional research staff category at NYU and does not qualify for visa sponsorship including STEM OPT extension. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment
+ Current or recent graduate in public health, nursing, social work, psychology, or other social/behavioral science
+ Demonstrable commitment to health equity and health care access
+ Commitment to racial justice, social justice, and social equity
+ Excellent organizational and technical skills
+ Must have a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work on a team, and punctuality
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
+ Experience with Endnote or willingness to learn Endnote
+ Experience with conducting literature reviews
