    Job Title: Director, Growth Marketing

    Salary: $115,000 - $130,000

    Who We Are

GeistM is a global full-funnel performance marketing company focused on scaling profitable customer acquisition through content-driven performance strategies. We partner with category-leading brands to design, execute, and evolve growth programs across major digital platforms including Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, Taboola, Pinterest, and Reddit. Our work sits at the intersection of creativity, data, and operational rigor.

    About the Position

We are seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to own the strategic direction, operational standards, and long-term scalability of our performance marketing function. This is a high-impact role requiring a dual focus: providing executive-level leadership to a team of Managers and Analysts while maintaining deep technical involvement in our most complex client accounts.

As a smaller, fast-growing organization, this role requires a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable setting strategy and executing within the platforms. The Director will actively engage in campaign architecture, account audits, and optimization for priority clients, while simultaneously building the systems, standards, and teams that enable long-term scale.

The Director operates as the connective layer between executive leadership and growth teams, translating business objectives into scalable frameworks, guardrails, and methodologies. You will lead Managers and Analysts,  develop future leaders, and act as an authority on performance standards, technical rigor, and risk management across client portfolios. As the organization grows, this role is expected to evolve toward greater strategic oversight, but leading through execution is a critical requirement today.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complexity, and takes ownership of outcomes at the systems level.

    What You’ll Do

    Functional Ownership & Standards

+ Own the growth marketing function’s operating model, including frameworks for testing, attribution, reporting, and performance evaluation.

+ Define and enforce standards for campaign architecture, optimization methodology, and measurement across all platforms.

+ Establish quality assurance processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance excellence across client accounts.

+ Maintain active, hands-on involvement in campaign architecture and optimization for high-priority or complex client accounts. You will personally diagnose performance issues, audit ad accounts, and direct or approve advanced strategies across Meta, Reddit, and Native platforms.

    Leadership & Talent Development

+ Lead and develop a team of Analysts and Senior Managers, focusing on leadership capability, decision-making quality, and strategic thinking.

+ Coach managers on how to manage teams, assess performance, and scale impact through others.

+ Serve as the escalation point for complex people, performance, or delivery challenges.

    Strategic Oversight & Risk Management

+ Maintain visibility into high-impact or high-risk accounts, stepping in to audit, diagnose, or course-correct when necessary.

+ Identify systemic performance risks and address root causes through process, training, or structural changes.

+ Partner with senior leadership to align growth marketing strategy with broader company goals and revenue targets.

    Client & Revenue Accountability

+ Own the health, retention, and growth of a significant client portfolio at a strategic level.

+ Participate in client conversations, escalations, and quarterly business reviews.

+ Ensure revenue pacing, forecasting, and performance expectations are met through disciplined execution across teams.

    Cross-Functional Leadership & Innovation

+ Partner with the Creative and Content teams to ideate, test, and refine content and campaign strategies that maximize conversion and efficiency.

+ Evaluate emerging platforms, tools, and technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to improve efficiency and competitive advantage.

+ Drive continuous improvement by evolving processes as the business and ecosystem change.

    What You Should Have

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.

+ 7+ years of experience in growth, digital acquisition, or performance marketing within an agency or performance-driven environment.

+ Proven experience managing direct reports and developing senior individual contributors into leaders.

+ Deep expertise in performance marketing platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, with the ability to audit, evaluate, and challenge execution quality at a senior level.

+ Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, including advanced understanding of attribution, measurement frameworks, and performance diagnostics.

+ Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex client environments.

+ Track record of operating in high-growth, fast-moving organizations where priorities shift and systems must scale quickly.

+ Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with accountability for results.

+ Interest in how automation and AI can improve performance marketing systems and decision-making.

    Why You’ll Love Working Here

+ Opportunity to define and scale a critical function within a high-growth organization.

+ Direct partnership with senior leadership on strategy, structure, and growth initiatives.

+ High autonomy, high accountability, and meaningful influence over how work gets done.

+ Collaborative, creative culture that values innovation and accountability.

+ Hybrid flexibility with one required in-office day per week in NYC.

+ Global client exposure and long-term career growth opportunities.
