Requirements
+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
+ Six months to one year experience with customer relations required.
+ Knowledge of basic office procedures/equipment and computer systems required.
+ Familiarization with medical terminology and prior health care experience preferred.
+ Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
Work Hours
We are seeking two full-time (40 hours/week) Patient Scheduling Specialists to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm within the UW Regional Specialty Clinic.
Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Specialist are to arrange for efficient and orderly check in, check out and scheduling of patients across multiple specialties. A patient scheduling specialist (PSS) ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. These duties will be performed in a “Customer oriented” professional manner.
