Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural** **hospital located** **in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
+ The Vice President of Finance is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of hospital operations.
+ Provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, patient financial services and budgeting efforts of the hospital. Serves as compliance officer for the hospital.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
+ CPA, CFA, or HFMA certification strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
+ Proven track record in budget management, financial planning, and cost containment within a multi-hospital or health system environment.
+ Experience with healthcare reimbursement models, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and value-based care strategies.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical, operational, and executive teams.
Schedule:
+ 80 hours per pay period salaried exempt
+ Typical working hours Monday-Friday - 8a-5p
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
