    Description

    Georgia Military College has an immediate opening for part-time Online Course Developers. The Part-Time Course Developer supports the design, development and maintenance of online courses across multiple academic programs. Part-Time Course Developers may also assist with special projects and ticketing. Each developer works no more than 19 hours per week and contributes to both new course development and ongoing course quality projects.

    Major Responsibilities:

    + Manage new & existing course development, revision, and maintenance projects from inception to completion.

    + Course development (full and/or partial) - Design, build or update online courses in alignment with institutional templates and learning outcomes. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and academic leadership to ensure content quality, accessibility and engagement

    + Course maintenance and quality assurance

    + Freshdesk Ticketing (when assigned)

    + Special Projects (when assigned)

    *Criminal background check must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Associate's degree

    + 2 years of experience in developing courses in a LMS (Preferably Canvas)

    + 1 year of experience as a LMS user

    + High-speed internet access with reliable computer access (Desktop with two monitors recommended).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, Instructional Design or, related field

    + Outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as pays attention to detail.

    + Excellent problem solver with a very solid technical background in Instructional Technology and/or Instructional Design.

    + Proven track record of meeting goals and timelines.
