About Walmart Business

Walmart Business is a new omnichannel experience to save businesses, nonprofits and government agencies time, money, and hassle so they can focus on their missions. We leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers. We’re bringing together the Every Day Low Prices, assortment, delivery speed and capabilities of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.

What you'll do...

+ **Lead and Inspire:** Manage and mentor a team of data scientists to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions.

+ **Drive Assortment Strategy:** Develop models and frameworks to identify assortment gaps, inform tactical go-gets, and strengthen Walmart’s competitive position.

+ **Customer Value Proposition:** Use advanced analytics to enhance customer experience and optimize product offerings.

+ **Build Causal Models:** Design and implement causal inference models to understand drivers of business performance.

+ **Develop Systems:** Create data-driven systems that are actionable and integrated into business workflows.

+ **Collaborate Across Functions:** Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to align data science initiatives with strategic goals.

+ **Leverage Technology:** Utilize Python, R, SQL, and modern data engineering pipelines to process complex datasets.

+ **Innovate with GenAI:** Explore generative AI applications to enhance predictive modeling and decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

+ Proven ability to lead high-performing data science teams.

+ Expertise in statistical modeling, causal inference, and advanced analytics.

+ Strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL.

+ Experience designing scalable data systems and engineering pipelines.

+ Ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.

+ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

+ 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles.

+ Demonstrated experience leading teams and delivering business-impacting solutions.

+ Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.

+ Experience with generative AI and advanced machine learning techniques.

+ Background in eCommerce, retail, or large-scale business operations.

+ Familiarity with building data engineering pipelines and complex system design.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
