Production Technician

Kamatics is seeking a Production Technician to ensure that all customer orders meet customer, productivity, and quality requirements. Provide support to production and manufacturing engineers as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Create/revise shop orders, including all information to meet customer requirements. Create product structures. Develop/implement routings and plan for materials.
• Plan materials for production schedule. Purchase material. Coordinate outside processes.
• Maintain label database.
• Provide limited editing of production drawings using Computer Aided Design programs to meet production expectations of process improvements, productivity, and quality and customer requirements.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
• Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
• Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience with up to 3 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints
• Proficient computer skills with solid MS office suite knowledge and exposure to CAD software.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
• Strong time management skills with ability to organize, and plan.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills driving results.
• Ability to communicate (verbal, written and listening) with a strong customer focus mindset.
• Self-starter with ability to work in a team.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent sitting at a computer workstation and grasping a mouse
• Frequent mental and visual attention
• Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional bending and twisting
