The role also applies automation principles to manufacturing processes (PLC/SCADA/industrial controls) to improve throughput, quality, and cost. Responsibilities include requirements decomposition, hardware/software architecture, LabVIEW/Test Stand and PLC development, data acquisition/analysis, and compliance with aerospace, industrial, and Health & Safety requirements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Consolidate all data (users, context) in order to develop a complete system architecture.

    • Understand and translate user requirements into solutions.

    • Master the overall design of an automated/computerized system, integrating scalability and sustainability aspects

    • Model and break down the system to make technical choices regarding hardware, software, or application packages.

    • Integrate configuration management, documentation, and training,

    • Ensure the interface with other engineering and manufacturing partners based on project scope.

    Test system & ATE design

    • Build, and validate modular ATE; integrate measuring devices, power supplies, DAQ, and motion/IO for automated electrical and dynamic tests.

    • Produce simulation/trade studies (e.g., load profiles, harmonics, thermal, and vibration exposure) to set test limits and protect DUTs and assets. Consider signal and power quality parameters and design safeguarding measures to prevent DUT and/or company assets impact.

    Test methods, execution & compliance

    • Translate system and regulatory requirements into test plans, procedures, sequences, and reports for development, qualification, and production acceptance; manage results traceability and signal troubleshooting

    • Plan and design test equipment and sequences aligned to aerospace environmental/electrical standards

    • Where applicable, support the development of calibrations method for signal and automatic operations parameters

    • Develops and creates process documentation for safe operations of the ATE and Automated Means.

    Manufacturing automation & industrial controls

    • Design and deploy PLC/SCADA automation for manufacturing and end of line testing

    • Collaborate with IT/IS and Digital teams to develop, deploy, and support the digitalization of the industrial activities across the production lines

    • Translate manufacturing practices to automation specifications for external collaboration with vendors and other automation parties.
