Emerson is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Embedded Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded systems for our next-generation products. This role requires deep technical expertise in embedded hardware and firmware, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
+ Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
+ Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ or assembly for microcontrollers, SoCs, and FPGAs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
+ Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and validation testing (EMC, thermal, functional).
+ Optimize power consumption, performance, and reliability of embedded systems.
+ Lead prototyping, bring-up, and debugging of new hardware platforms.Interface with vendors and manufacturing partners to support production and DFM/DFT.Be an active member in the Emerson Technical community

For This Role, You Will Need:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering experience
+ + 5 years of experience in embedded hardware. Firmware development is a plus
+ Hands on experience with schematic capture (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and PCB layout tools
+ Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
+ Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, SWD, and in-circuit emulate
+ Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
+ Strong experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M/R/A), SoCs, FPGA, and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
+ Product Lifecycle management experience
+ Microsoft Azure DevOps experience
+ Experience leading control system migration projects
+ Ability to multi task and set simultaneous priorities
+ Knowledge of Systems Engineering Concepts – Project Management, Risk Planning, Six Sigma and Quality is highly desirable
