    The Program in Democracy and Citizenship and the Department of Political Science at Emory University invite applications for a Marcus Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility of renewal for 2027-2028.

     

    The Fellow will have three main responsibilities: 1. To conduct his or her own research. 2. To teach two courses in political theory (one per semester), including a civics course In American Political Thought starting from the Founding. 3. To help administer and grow our Political Philosophy program for undergraduates (franklinfellows.org). Fellows will join a cohort of other postdocs and receive mentoring for their research and teaching. Salary, benefits, and travel/research funding are competitive. Ph.D. must be in hand by August 2026.
