ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Provide specialized instruction in art, photography, cartooning, dance, recreation, coding or martial arts

+ Create and implement a syllabus and pacing calendar for the school year that is based on outcomes

+ Be prepared to put together a performance piece or portfolio of the students’ work for showcases and celebrations

+ Help youth to develop healthy self-esteem, decision-making skills, respect, discipline, and physical fitness interests

COMPETENCIES

+ Ability to successfully manage multiple relationships

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Willing to go above and beyond program mandates for the benefit of the children.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

+ High school diploma or equivalency required

+ Candidate must possess a degree or training in their field or have at least two years’ experience teaching young people this discipline
