    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Environmental Technician** to join our team! In this role, you will participate in the installation, operation and decommission of remediation projects using company technology applications and adhering to the highest safety standards. This position requires skills associated with the construction industry including manual labor, heavy lifting, and equipment operations. This position also requires heavy travel and overtime.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    + Responsible for the execution of various field assignments based on the direction of Parsons Field Service Managers and Project Managers

    + Unload and carry materials at job site

    + Operate forklift, and other construction equipment. May be required to operate heavy machinery.

    + Properly place and set up equipment on job sites.

    + Read, understand, and perform all tasks in accordance with project documents including applicable permits, work plans, SOPs, best practices and health and safety plans

    + Monitor equipment and communicate data gaps or changes in system operations to the Field Service Manager or person in charge

    + Ensure safety procedures are being followed

    + Other duties as assigned

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    + Progressive knowledge of the environmental remediation industry

    + Completion of required training to ensure safety, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction

    + 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and up-to-date refresher courses

    + Current drivers’ license in good standing

    + Ability to work with common construction tools including hand-held power tools

    + Ability to operate a forklift and other construction machinery

    + Ability to use discernment and follow all safety protocols and ensure team members are working safely

    + Ability to participate in and pass annual medical monitoring and fitness for duty exams required

    + Ability to travel and work overtime frequently

    + Work will be performed in field settings

    + Work in field settings will involve exposure to weather during all seasons

    + The noise level in the field settings will be moderate, and the use of hearing protections will be required

    + Field settings will include sites impacted with hazardous materials and waste. Participation in TRS training programs and medical monitoring program is required

    + The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required

    + Frequent use of diagnostic meters to evaluate electrical systems may be required.

    + Frequent use of common construction tools, including hand-held power tools will be required.

    + Frequent operation of an automobile or pick-up truck will be required.

    + Frequent operation of a forklift will be required.

    + May be required to operate heavy machinery.

    + Frequently required to lift 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance

    Salary Range: $15.38 - $26.15
