+ Position will actively interface with many internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis regarding retirement benefit concerns, questions, and analysis.
+ The role is a part of the Retirement team within our People Department. You’ll bring your analytical, accounting, and communication skills to get this job done!
What you'll do

Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._
+ Conduct monthly fund reconciliations of plan accounts and prepare benefit plan audit supporting spreadsheets
+ Preparation of pension SOX user control and reconciliation requirements
+ Partner with third-party administrators, actuaries, auditors, tax preparers, consultants, and trustee
+ Prepare/support plan audit requests and coordinate the preparation of multiple governmental filings covering both domestic and Canadian plans including Form 5500s, Form 8955-SSA, IRS Form 990T (including state and international), PBGC filings and Canadian OSFI filings
+ Research historical plan documents and payroll data in support of benefit appeal recommendations, including coordinate efforts with ERISA counsel
+ Improve vendor performance by addressing delivery/performance issues
+ Create and present monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of Retirement Facts & Figures along with analysis of trends and variances
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related compliance field
+ 3-5 years of public accounting, internal audit or related public filing experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Driven to achieve excellence, high standards of quality for self and others, strong goal orientation
+ Ability to work through complex issues and that require significant attention to detail and strong time management skills
+ Ability to be proactive, work with limited direction to prioritize time sensitive tasks, and appropriately communicate changes and progress
+ Proven experience in using data to analyze trends and budgeting
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
+ Proven experience in vendor management
+ Experience with benefit plan audits and compliance filings
+ Knowledge of ERISA regulations and requirements
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint and large database experience.
+ Strong presentation and writing skills
+ Team player effective in a fast-paced environment
