    Job Summary and Qualifications

    _Position Summary_

    The Associate Vice President (AVP), Pricing & Contract Analytics (PCA), is responsible for overseeing PCA’s optimization of the fee‑for‑service price/volume equation for a net revenue portfolio of $4.5B. This senior leader ensures the execution of all strategic pricing, legal, reporting, and communication processes necessary to:

     

    + Maximize contract performance and yield, including metrics such as Net Revenue, Percentage of Charge Revenue, Net Revenue per Case, and Contribution Margin.

    + Align with the organization’s EBITDA and pricing bandwidth management objectives.

     

    This role requires strong analytical leadership, a deep understanding of managed care pricing strategies, and close collaboration across PCA teams and enterprise stakeholders.

    _Key Responsibilities_

    + Oversee optimization of the fee‑for‑service revenue portfolio, ensuring data‑driven strategies that balance price and volume impact.

    + Apply strategic pricing methodologies to support contract performance improvement and long-term revenue growth.

    + Maintain highly effective working relationships with Analytics & Pricing Services (A\&PS), PCA Negotiators (PCA VPs), and PCA Legal

    + Collaborate with PCA VPs across the enterprise—including hospital, government, and regional teams—on all contracting activities with managed care organizations (MCOs) and other payers.

    + Develop and utilize portfolio performance and renewal‑monitoring reports to evaluate upcoming contract renewals.

    + Recommend renewal-specific pricing changes based on analytic insights.

    + Track implementation of recommended strategies by PCA VPs.

    + Collect and synthesize key pricing requests for leadership planning.

    + Demonstrate strong proficiency with QlikView and other pricing and analytic platforms.

    + Ensure consistent use of reporting, communication, and pricing tools across teams.

    _Qualifications_

    + 10+ years of Managed Care contracting experience required

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field required

    + Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar) preferred

    + Experience in the physician contracting space, particularly specialty care and hospital‑based physicians (HBP), as well as urgent care.

    + Advanced analytic skillset with a focus on using data to drive contract and pricing decisions
