Job Summary and Responsibilities
Reports to the Security Manager and is responsible for overseeing and organizing work of subordinate personnel engaged in patrolling and securing hospital facilities and grounds. Assigns Security personnel to patrols, interprets security rules and directs Security personnel in enforcing compliance with all safety and security regulations. Under the direction of the Security Manager, the Team Lead performs a wide range of security functions, the purpose of which is to provide a healthy, safe environment and minimize losses to individuals and property. Demonstrates effective communication and public relation skills. Will address issues concerning staff members and will submit to the Security Manager for review.
Essential Functions
+ Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, proper reporting, and documentation.
+ Coordinates work of assigned subordinates engaged in patrolling and ensuring the safety and security of hospital facilities, grounds, team members, patients and visitors.
+ Plans and prepares work schedule to provide adequate security coverage.
+ Orients and trains, evaluates the performance of and, when necessary, recommends discipline or discharge of subordinate personnel.
+ Reviews incident reports and ensures that all incidents are logged in Security report Log.
+ Displays reasonable judgments in making decisions by notifying Security Manager of security events.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience Required
+ High School Diploma / GED
+ Three (3) year security, military, law enforcement or equivalent experience
Licensure and Certifications Required
+ TX Driver's License
+ Non-Commissioned (NCSO) or Commissioned (CSOF) Security Officer License within 90 days
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA) - grace period: 14 days

Pay Range
$15.13 - $21.37 /hour
