Position Summary
A Superintendent (E9) is the primary jobsite supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on small- to mid-sized ground up projects or tenant-finish projects where complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews is required.
Position Details
+ Oversee and manage all electrical production and related craft workers on electrical construction projects.
+ Partner with project managers on working estimates and take-offs.
+ Lay out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons.
+ Coordinate with project manager so that material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower are in the proper place in a timely fashion.
+ Establish work schedules and man-loading charts.
+ Interface with representatives of the General Contractor/Owner on day-to-day project scheduling and overall performance issues.
+ Provide general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and distribution apparatus such as switch gears, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.
+ Monitor work as performed.
+ Direct subordinate supervisors and crews and schedule work according to the pace of the job and other trades.
+ Handle or oversee the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.
+ Assume responsibility for overall project safety performance.
+ Ensure compliance with all Southland safety processes and protocols.
+ Ensure employees are properly trained or instructed in the performance of duties to which they are assigned.
+ Investigate or assist in investigating and reporting any accident or safety incident involving jobsite employees.
+ Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
Qualifications
+ Must have advanced knowledge of and experience in all the duties and responsibilities associated with lower-level electrical workers.
+ Journeyman or Master Electrical License and a current Driver’s License. Must have own reliable transportation
+ High school graduate, GED or equivalent
+ 6 years or more of commercial/industrial electrical experience
+ Current Electrical TDLR License
+ OSHA 30
