Overview:
Corning Incorporated’s Law Department is seeking a motivated Law Intern who will have completed their first year of law school at an accredited law school by the summer of 2026 to join our dynamic legal team for the 2026 internship program. This position provides an opportunity to understand the practice of law within a corporate context and gain hands-on experience in a supportive, mentoring environment.

Responsibilities:
+ Assist with legal research and drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
+ Attend client meetings, court proceedings, and other legal events under the guidance of senior lawyers.
+ Review and organize case files and manage case documents.
+ Support attorneys in trial preparation and case management.
+ Analyze and summarize legal issues for review.
+ Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and advice.
+ Maintain confidentiality of all legal documents and client information.
+ Perform administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
+ Enrollment in an accredited law school pursuing JD.
+ Strong academic performance.
+ Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
+ Proficiency in using legal research software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
+ Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
+ High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong time management and organizational skills.
+ Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-July 2026)
+ Be willing to work at the posted job location.

•The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
