As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver** in **Columbia, SC** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a retail environment. Your presence and attentive service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. This driving post requires you to monitor assigned areas, maintain visibility, and provide outstanding customer service, all while representing our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and promote a welcoming environment.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and to provide assistance as needed.

+ Report and document observations, incidents, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.

+ Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement as needed to address concerns and support a positive shopping experience for all patrons.

+ Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ This is primarily a driving post is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
