    As a **Security Officer - Access Control Gatehouse** in **Deer Park, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post.     What You'll Do:

    + Assist with access control procedures for personnel and vehicles entering or leaving the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.

    + Monitor and verify identification credentials in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

    + Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.

    + Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.

    + Follow all location-specific guidelines and protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments, including adherence to personal protective equipment requirements when applicable.

    + Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support overall security-related objectives at the location.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

    + A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.

    + Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

    + Customer service experience is preferred.

    + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

    + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

    + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

    + A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
