    As a **Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrols** in **Newport News, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication.     What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

    + Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.

    + Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed to address incidents or concerns.

    + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during shifts.

    + Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols to support a secure environment for personnel and visitors.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + At least one year of security-related experience is required.

    + Customer service experience is preferred.

    + Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

    + A valid guard card or security license is preferred.

    + Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

    + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
