Job Description

Join our dynamic paintline production team as a Line Operator. This role involves operating machines and equipment used to paint metal siding and shingles for residential construction. Although this is not a painting position, candidates should be comfortable working around paint.

Responsibilities

+ Place coils on the unwinders with a hoist and start coils on the rewinders.

+ Remove painted coils off the rewinder.

+ Examine bare and coated metal for defects.

+ Replace rollers as needed.

+ Stitch coils together to maintain a continuous line.

+ Grind and smooth paint rollers on lathes when needed.

+ Load and unload trucks when necessary.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of machine operation experience

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Mechanically inclined

+ Hand and power tool experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ General labor experience

+ Painting experience

+ Production and assembly experience

+ Material handling and inspection skills

Work Environment

This role is set in an industrial manufacturing environment that can become warm and noisy due to running machines. Candidates should be comfortable lifting 50-75 lbs occasionally. The work schedule is for the 2nd shift, from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
