We’re looking for a skilled **Foods Maintenance Technician** to keep our high‑speed production environment running at peak performance. In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and repair a wide range of production machinery while ensuring safety, quality, and GMP standards are consistently met. What You’ll Do

+ Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment

+ Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize packaging machines and production lines

+ Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace or repair parts, and make precise adjustments

+ Monitor machine performance to ensure quality and compliance with standards

+ Regulate machine flow, speed, and efficiency

+ Perform both emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance

+ Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime

+ Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills

+ Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders

What You Bring

+ Strong proficiency in hydraulics, blueprint reading, preventive maintenance, schematics, PLC troubleshooting, and motor systems

+ Hands‑on experience with fabrication, pneumatics, mixers, blenders, and GMP environments

+ Solid mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills

Qualifications

+ **3+ years** of experience in food, packaging, printing, powder, pharma, or similar industries

+ Leadership experience or natural leadership qualities

+ Experience with single and three‑phase equipment, up to 480V

+ Familiarity with basic electrical testing tools

+ Willingness to participate in weekend changeovers and hands‑on tasks

+ **Preferred:**

+ **2+ years of lead or supervisory experience**

+ Welding experience

+ PLC knowledge across multiple brands

+ Experience with Bosch vertical bagger equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
