Job Title: Tube Laser Operator** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our custom metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Operate Tube Laser to cut and shape metal parts according to specifications.

+ Set up and calibrate laser equipment for various cutting and fabrication tasks.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

+ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machines to minimize downtime.

+ Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with standards.

+ Handle raw materials and finished products safely, including operating forklifts or overhead cranes if needed.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in laser operation.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Ability to perform troubleshooting on laser machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with similar laser systems.

+ Knowledge of nesting software and optimization techniques.

+ Basic computer skills for machine interface.

Work Environment

Job shop with a newer facility that is clean. Standard shifts from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. Safety gear such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
