Job Description

As a Plumber Helper, you will work on a brand new commercial construction site. You should have experience in new commercial construction and be familiar with PVC, T's, Y's, and 90s. Your role will involve supporting plumbers by supplying and holding materials and tools, cleaning the work area, assisting with staging and layouts, and helping with cutting, bending, and installing for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

+ Assist plumbers by performing rough-ins and repairing and replacing fixtures.

+ Drill holes in walls or floors to allow for piping.

+ Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble new pipe, placing assembled pipe in hangers or supports.

+ Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes and set sleeves or inserts to support pipes.

+ Requisition tools and equipment, select type and size of pipe, and collect and transport materials to the job site.

+ Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings, or assemblies to tanks, pumps, or systems using hand tools.

+ Assist in layout, assembly, and installation of piping for air, gas, and water systems.

+ Excavate and grade ditches by hand.

+ Lay and join pipe for water and sewer systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
