Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for organizing preventative, corrective, and improvement maintenance activities by coordinating machines, parts, services, and staff availability. This role is crucial in establishing PM schedules aligned with production schedules and generating reports using SAP and other methods. Working closely with Operations and Maintenance, the engineer ensures an effective Maintenance Operation while managing the plant's parts systems to minimize production downtime and maximize PM effectiveness.
Responsibilities
+ Support the Continuous Improvement Process by participating, addressing, and resolving issues promptly.
+ Identify, implement, and follow up on productivity improvements in machine downtime and labor expenditure.
+ Continuously improve maintenance performance in outputs, quality, safety, HAACP, WCM, and loss reduction through training and follow-up.
+ Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, safety, quality, and sanitation rules, as well as government regulations.
+ Serve as Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CMMS software (SAP) and train personnel in its use.
+ Assist and recommend new projects and methods to minimize costs while maintaining accurate systems.
+ Assign maintenance personnel work via CMMS as required.
+ Track and assess mechanical efficiency and maintenance costs.
+ Update the site CMMS program, including lubrication, inspections, shutdown work, and entering new equipment and procedures.
+ Plan and schedule overhaul and shutdown work.
+ Maintain equipment repair histories, including mean time between failures and costs.
+ Generate site KPI reports regarding effective maintenance.
+ Coordinate outside contractors as necessary.
+ Work with Parts Coordinators to ensure necessary parts are available for assigned work.
+ Interact with other departments as required.
+ Comply with all company and plant rules.
+ Participate in plant Safety, Health & Environment initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Planner, Schedule Planning, CMMS, Preventive Maintenance, SAP, and Maintenance Planning Software.
+ Experience in safety identification, implementation, and follow-up on productivity improvements.
+ Expertise in CMMS Software (SAP) as Subject Matter Expert (SME).
+ Ability to react with planning for preventive maintenance.
+ Experience in wearing multiple hats in the maintenance department, partnering with purchasers, technicians, and production teams to complete projects.
+ Proficiency in ERP, Work Orders, Production Management, and ERP System Maintenance Scheduling Software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
+ Experience or background as an electrical or mechanical technician is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
